It's Rodeo Time

Two cowboys ready to go.

Make that four.

After watching Food Inc. I have a whole new perspective on corn... ;)

Wyatt did surprisingly well at the actual rodeo.  Mostly bounced on my lap, stared at our neighbors and was absolutely fascinated by the fireworks that accompanied the national anthem. Cute little bear.

I begged for ten minutes in the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame... It was so cool!  There were displays of cowgirls' clothing all the way back to the twenties, saddles, boots, spurs, and videos.  So I'm a wannabe.  At least I'm a happy wannabe. Wyatt liked the wagon.

And the bucking horse that had a 'no photography' sign next to it.  Why people? Because you cut off all his legs??

On our way to Joe T's!  Look at that hair!

T-Shirt Flowers & More Snow

I got this mustard yellow and grey damask frame from Goodwill for $1.99.  The problem was, when I took the sticker off, the dadgum thing tore the frame.  So it's been sitting in my storage closet waiting to be fixed.  Since we're 'snowed in', I decided to get to work on my to-do list.

Here's what I used to fix it:
Two t-shirt collars (I'm working on a t-shirt quilt)
Glue gun

That's it.

Roll the collars up tight like a rose bud.

Glue the layers together on the under side.

Stick on your frame. Kind of Anthropologi-sh isn't it?

After 4 snow days I was getting cabin fever.  So we bundled up and went to the park.

It's always a good day when you end it with Green Eggs and Ham.

Baby Bear learned to pull himself completely up today.  We're convinced he will never crawl and just go straight to walking.  I just wish someone hadn't told me to expect crawling starting at 6 months.  I've been waiting 6 months and still nada.  Oh well.  As long as he's healthy, right?

Real Winter in Texas?

Got snow? We do.  About 4 whole inches of it!  And it's actually stuck to the ground for two days.  We're due for snowfall again tonight and I'm loving it!

"P-p-please let me in!"

Playing in the snow with Ms. Nicole

To say it was difficult to belt him in is an understatement.

We drove over to a friend's house to find them blowing up a tube and hooking it to a 4-wheeler! Here's Rob riding the tube.

Then Rob and his buddy decided to invent a new winter sport. It's called 'snow skating'.  You rip the deck off of a skateboard and ride it while being pulled by a 4-wheeler.

 The fam. :)
